The history of Adlershof goes more than 100 years back – It started exactly in 1909 with Germany’s first motorised aircraft. Today, it has become the Adlershof Science City, one of Germany’s most successful high-technology parks, that also comprises the largest media technology centre of Berlin. The science city covers 4.2 km2 and houses more than 1,000 companies and science institutions, all embedded in an integrated urban planning concept. In the heart of the Adlershof science city is the Science and Technology Park that focuses on renewable energy, it and media, bio technology and micro systems. All in all, it is a very exciting science park with a lot of opportunities for various exciting visits, all including a presentation and a tour of the area: 1. Adlershof: A successful model for economic development One of the reasons for the Technology Park’s considerable growth, which is above the average, is the close cooperation of science and business.
