The Grand Rex Theatre opened in 1932, but today it is one of Europe’s largest cinemas with about 2750 seats.
It’s not only huge, it is also an extraordinarily beautiful theatre as the old theatre charm is kept everywhere – you almost feel like you have to dress for a gala just to go see a movie.
The Etoiles du Rex tour (an interactive tour with audio guides) takes you behind the scenes where you learn about the history of Grand Rex.
You will also see the construction of the theatre and get an insight into film production. The tour is in English. If you have time and if you like it, you should allow yourself to see a movie in The Grand Rex.
Every evening they show the latest films, both in the original language and in dubbed version. It is definitely an experience.
