Upon arrival at your guesthouse you will have time to settle in before exploring the island to get yourself acquainted with the layout and to observe Maldives local life.

Itinerary
North Male Sand & Surf - 8 Days
Day 1
Day 2
Breakfast this morning is served at your guesthouse before being taken out by boat to enjoy a 2 Point snorkeling trip to nearby reefs to discover the underwater world of the Maldives. The afternoon is yours to relax or for those feeling a little more energetic take advantage of the many water sport options available including surfing and diving.
Days 3 & 4
The next two days are free for you to enjoy as you please. Relax on the bikini beach, choose to visit a resort for the day or for those feeling energetic participate in the various optional watersport activities on offer. Optional diving trips can be organized for certified divers at own cost.
Day 5
Following an early breakfast today you transfer by local ferry to Thulusdhoo. After checking in to your hotel there will be the opportunity to explore Thulusdhoo accompanied by your guide. Thulusdhoo is home to the world’s only desalinated Coca Cola production plant and an optional tour will take you behind the scenes of this facility. The afternoon is free for relaxation on the many hammocks and day beds that can be found along the shoreline of this island.
Day 6
This morning you have free time to enjoy Thulusdhoo. If you’re an experienced surfer try out the surf breaks or if you do not hold your diving certification, why not take your first steps by booking a discover scuba dive. This afternoon get active in the water, kayak through the beautiful lagoon being sure to keep a look out for marine life.
Day 7
Today is a completely free day to enjoy the white sandy beach on Thulusdhoo. There are optional excursions and watersport activities for those feeling more energetic. A day visit to a resort can also be arranged for those wishing to experience the luxury style of life in the Maldives.
Day 8
Following an early breakfast join the public speedboat for the return journey to Male where your airport host will assist with your transfer onto Male International Airport where your tour ends.

Important Note on Local Islands
Local islands are very different from the picture-perfect resort images you may have seen. These are living and working island communities, where daily life is shaped by Islam, family, and in today’s world, tourism. You’ll hear the call to prayer five times a day. On islands closer to Male, you will notice ongoing construction and development for both island infrastructure and new guesthouses or hotels. Every island has its own unique character and charm, offering something different in terms of culture, community, and natural environment.

Additional info
The Maldives is a Muslim country and therefore care needs to be taken with regard to the dress code on the local islands. While it is acceptable for men to wear t-shirts and shorts or swim shorts, women should maintain a more conservative approach by wearing t-shirts, loose shorts or sarongs. The islands we visit are more tolerant of guests wearing traditional beachwear, however, women should avoid wearing bikinis and swimsuits on more public beaches. During the local island tours, where we may have access to mosques and family homes, shoulders and thighs should be covered out of respect for local customs.
