Itinerary
5 Day Ukulhas Getaway
Day 1
Arrive Male International Airport where you will be greeted by our representative who will assist you with your speedboat transfer to your local island in North Ari Atoll. The speedboat takes approximately 1.5 hours to reach Ukulhas.
Days 2-4
Breakfast. Free days. Complimentary use of snorkeling equipment at guesthouse and 2 hours Kayak/SUP rental (subject to availability).
Day 5
Breakfast. Following breakfast, you will transfer by speedboat to Male and on to Male International Airport or your onward destination.
Ramadan
Ramadan will take place during the period of 07 February - 08 March 2027, and might affect services within this package.
Important Note on Local Islands
Local islands are very different from the picture-perfect resort images you may have seen. These are living and working island communities, where daily life is shaped by Islam, family, and in today’s world, tourism. You’ll hear the call to prayer five times a day. On islands closer to Male, you will notice ongoing construction and development for both island infrastructure and new guesthouses or hotels. Every island has its own unique character and charm, offering something different in terms of culture, community, and natural environment.

Trolling/Fishing: As the locals of the island are known for their fishing skills with the guest house business they are keen to pass on these skills to the tourist through various kind of fishing trips. The most enjoyable type of fishing recommended for tourists are big game fishing. Common fishes caught on a daily basis would include sail fish, dog tooth tuna, trevally and dolphin fish (mahi mahi).
Manta Snorkelling: Just about 12 mins speedboat ride away from the island there is a huge lagoon area where mantas love to hangout throughout the year. Almost any time of the day it is possible to see 2 or more mantas
Whaleshark Safari: Why not book a whale shark day trip to South Ari Atoll. This is a full day trip due to the distance from Ukulhas and pricing is dependent on the number of guests joining the trip. Expect to pay approximately $150 per person for 6 persons. South Ari Atoll is 90 minutes by speedboat and is very lucky to have a probable unique year-round population of Whale sharks. Nowhere else in the world boasts Whale sharks every single month of the year and furthermore many of the sharks seen are the same individuals time after time. You may encounter 1 or 2 sharks in half an hour or given that they are wild creatures in their natural habitat you may not encounter one for the whole time we are searching.

Arrivals on Wednesdays and Saturdays, you will take a speedboat from Male Island to Ukulhas Island, and return transfer will be on a public ferry.
Arrivals on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays will have transfers only by speedboat.
For departures starting 01 November 2026, your arrival and departure will only be on a speedboat.

Additional info
The Maldives is a Muslim country and therefore care needs to be taken with regard to the dress code on the local islands. While it is acceptable for men to wear t-shirts and shorts or swim shorts, women should maintain a more conservative approach by wearing t-shirts, loose shorts or sarongs. The islands we visit are more tolerant of guests wearing traditional beachwear, however, women should avoid wearing bikinis and swimsuits on more public beaches. During the local island tours, where we may have access to mosques and family homes, shoulders and thighs should be covered out of respect for local customs.
