Fiji Escape to Paradise

Friday - 1st Night: South Sea Cay

Bula and welcome aboard Blue Lagoon Cruises! Set sail on MV. Yasawa Princess II from Port Denarau for the Mamanuca Islands to our first overnight anchorage, South Sea Cay. After a quick swim or walk on this private sand cay, enjoy a complimentary glass of sparkling wine and canapés as you watch the sunset on the Sun Deck. The a la carte Captain’s Welcome Dinner is followed by entertainment from our talented singing, guitar-playing crew.

Saturday - 2nd Night: Soso Bay

This morning, weather permitting, there is an opportunity to swim with reef sharks at an ocean reef en route to our next destination. After lunch, see what island village life is like when we visit the chiefly village of Soso followed by afternoon tea on the beach. This evening, we’ll feast on a traditional Indian Thali buffet dinner, followed by an extravaganza of Bollywood dancing and movies.

Sunday - 3rd Night: Naukacuvu Island

Sunday is a day of rest in Fiji. After breakfast attend a village church service, then enjoy lunch and watch the view as we cruise southward. Head to shore this afternoon for some beach time. Tonight’s dinner is a South Pacific themed buffet and after dinner, get to know your fellow cruise passengers and team up for Fiji-style bingo in the Dining Room.

Monday - 4th Night: Yalobi Bay

As MV. Yasawa Princess II arrives at the stunning Sacred Islands you’ll feel as though you’re lost in paradise. The backdrop of the neighboring Waya Lailai volcanic formations is breathtaking. Enjoy buffet lunch in the dining room before disembarking for an afternoon swim, snorkel or leisure time on the beach. Watch the sunset and enjoy tonight’s a la carte Captain’s Welcome Dinner welcoming our 4 night cruise guests on board. After dinner, get ready for our Song Facts quiz night.

Tuesday - 5th Night: Blue Lagoon

Our destination today is the famed Blue Lagoon, a superb stretch of water ringed by pretty islands. Blue Lagoon Cruises has its very own private beach here at Nanuya Lailai Island where we anchor close to the beach and tie up to a coconut tree. Jump off the back into the turquoise waters or take a tender boat to shore where our full bar awaits you. You’ll dine on the beach all day today, including morning and afternoon tea, a buffet-style lunch and a traditional Lovo meal cooked underground for tonight’s dinner under the stars. Today’s activities include snorkeling, fish feeding, non-motorized watersports, water aerobics and volleyball, and tonight enjoy a special traditional Meke performance by local villagers.

Wednesday - 6th Night: Sawa-I-Lau

This morning you’ll be rewarded with panoramic views of the Blue Lagoon if you join our easy 40-minute guided walk to the other side of the island, to visit Lo’s Tea House. Afterwards take a final dip in the Blue Lagoon before we depart the area. Lunch is served on board as MV. Yasawa Princess II cruises north for a guided visit to the amazing Sawa-I-Lau Caves. The village of Tamasua welcomes us for a Yaqona (Kava) ceremony, a guided walk around their village and a village-style seafood dinner.

Thursday - 7th Night: Drawaqa Island

This morning we take an optional excursion to the local island school before cruising to Drawaqa Island. Here, we’ll be joined on board by a marine biologist for a presentation on the local marine life and the volunteer conservation work carried out in the area; during May to October you’ll have the opportunity to snorkel with the magnificent manta rays. Dinner this evening is a BBQ on the Sun Deck (weather permitting) served under the stars. Tonight, our last night together, we party Fiji-style!

Friday

Enjoy breakfast on board as MV. Yasawa Princess II cruises back to Port Denarau. Back at port you’ll be serenaded with the traditional Isa Lei farewell song by the crew, as your exploration of the beautiful Yasawa Islands comes to an end.

A complimentary Malamala Beach Club Day Pass with an FJ$50 food and beverage voucher per person is included for all guests. This trip will be on the day of departure for your cruise, where you will join the ship mid-afternoon. Surrounded by Fiji’s famous crystal-clear waters, Malamala Beach Club invites you to experience the world’s first island beach club, located just 30 minutes from Port Denarau. Enjoy white sand beaches, beachside cabanas, laid-back tunes, resort style infinity edge pool’s and views across the Mamanuca islands. With a menu inspired by the chefs’ rich experience throughout the South Pacific try a ‘lite bite’ option poolside or take a seat in the sunlit, breezy restaurant, this menu has something for everyone. The beverage menu has everything from bubbles to beers as well as a great international wine list along with our range of specially curated cocktails.

How it works
Coach transfers to Port Denarau are complimentary from most Nadi, Wailoaloa, Denarau, Coral Coast, Natadola, Momi Bay, & Sonaisali hotels/resorts connecting with the 10:00 vessel transfer to Malamala Beach Club. Before 09:30, all guests will need to check in their luggage with Blue Lagoon Cruises and have a day pack ready to take with them to Malamala Beach Club. At 10:00 take a 30 minute transfer by high speed catamaran directly to Malamala Beach Club. Spend the day enjoying the beach clubs many facilities. Mid-afternoon, a tender boat will transfer you to your ship where your luggage will be waiting in your cabin.

Gratuities

Blue Lagoon Cruises Ltd proudly sponsors and supports the charitable organisation ‘Vinaka Fiji Trust' and the excellent work it does in the villages of the Yasawa Islands. Rather than a gratuity payment, Blue Lagoon Cruises Ltd will automatically add a donation to ‘Vinaka Fiji Trust' to your account at the end of your stay. Guests will have the chance to decline it or alter the amount. The donation amounts that will be shown will be FJD$100 per cabin for 3 & 4 night cruise guests or FJD$150 per cabin for 7 night cruise guests.

Activities

Activities
All scheduled cruise excursions and activities are included in the cruise fare. Activities range from guided snorkelling trips to swimming with reef sharks and manta ray (May - October), village visits, a traditional Fijian church service, and hikes. Enjoy complimentary use of snorkelling gear during the cruise as well as kayaks and paddle boards at Nanuya Lailai, our private island (4 and 7 night cruises only), and don’t worry about bringing beach towels, these are also included. While onboard, soak up the sun in a sun lounger, tune in to a talk from our captain on navigation, or a marine biologist on the diverse ecology of the area. There’s something for everyone!

Entertainment
Each evening, there is optional entertainment included after dinner in either the dining room, lounge, or on the Sun Deck. Evening entertainment ranges from Bollywood dancing, island-style Bingo to outdoor movies and a traditional meke performance.

Sun Deck
Make a beeline for the Sun Deck atop the ship each evening for happy hour from 6.00 pm to 7.00 pm (weather permitting, otherwise served in the lounge), a fabulous place with spectacular views is a fabulous place to watch the sun go down on another day in paradise or simply relax up there while we cruise to our next destination.

Accommodation

Accommodation Onboard
MV. Yasawa Princess II has 22 air-conditioned cabins accommodating up to 44 guests. Each cabin features an en suite, storage space, mini fridge, a hair dryer, soft towels, and bathroom amenities. All cabins are above the waterline and feature expansive windows with ocean views. Cabins are allocated upon guest check-in only. We can't guarantee a particular cabin or deck preference; however, we will certainly do our best to accommodate any specific requests.

Middle Deck:
The Middle Deck has 9 Orchid Cabins and 2 Hibiscus Cabins (all approximately 14.5 sqm/156 sq ft in size) with either one queen bed or twin single beds.

Main Deck:
The Lower Deck has 11 Orchid Cabins (approximately 14.5sqm/156 sq ft in size), with either one queen bed or twin single beds.

All cabins include:
- A complimentary mini bar stocked on the day of departure only with a selection of premium beer, soft drinks, sparkling wine, and snacks (Note: alcoholic beverages can be exchanged for non-alcoholic options if requested at the time of booking).
- Gifts of a Blue Lagoon Cruises tote bag, Pure Fiji gift bag per cabin, a reusable metal water bottle, and a sulu (sarong) for each person

Local transport

Complimentary transfers are offered Pre Cruise. Requests must be booked directly with Blue Lagoon Cruises reservations. Pick up time will be confirmed at the time of booking request.
Fllight arrival details must be provided for airport-Port Denarau transfers. The driver will be holding passenger name card for Meet & Greet in arrivals area ast customs exit point at Nadi International Airport.

Meals

Enjoy your meals in either our light and bright dining room or on the sky deck, with our cuisine being a mixture of European and Fijian styles, showcasing the best local produce. All meals are included in the cruise price, including breakfast with a range of hot and cold choices and sparkling wine, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner. Dining is a true delight onboard due to the skilled work of the chef, the variety of delicious dishes, and the beautiful locations where you dine. Exotic barbeques, magnificent buffets, freshly made omelettes, and beautifully designed traditional Fijian meals are all on the menu. Our menu reflects the enormous selection of fine foods, such as fresh fruits and fish, that Fiji enjoys.

- For the twice-weekly Captain's Dinner (Friday and Monday), there are complimentary pre-dinner drinks of sparkling wine with canapes served on the Sun Deck (weather permitting) from 18:00 - 19:00, followed by the a la carte Captain's Dinner, which is served with complimentary house wine and local beer during the meal service (approximately 2 hours)
- On-board themed buffets with a vast array of local and international foods
- A traditional Fijian Lovo Feast is served under the stars on our private beach
- All meals are included on your cruise.
- Filtered drinking water and juice are included in the cost of your cruise, as is tea and barista coffee. The only additional food and beverage costs onboard are drinks and additional snacks that are ordered at the bar.

Additional info

Dress code:
The dress code is casual and informal, even at dinner. We encourage our guests to wear what they feel comfortable in and to leave their dinner jackets and high heels at home. For those wanting to visit villages for cultural reasons, we do ask that men wear a sulu (provided in your cabin) and women dress modestly with shoulders and knees covered.
