Portugal Surf Camp Alentejo

There are a lot of things to do in and around Alentejo and we can help out with most of them. Please consult our staff to learn more about a wide range of fun options available to you. All extra activities are booked and paid locally.

Lapoint Alentejo is the perfect camp if you want a relaxed stay in a small and cozy, yet modern and newly renovated, villa where you will feel right at home. Villa Tranquilo is rustic with a farm-feel, perfectly matched to the tranquil ambience allowing you to re-energize and disconnect from the outside world. Relax by the pool, chill in our hang-out areas, join a volleyball game or sit down for a glass of wine and watch the sunset in the evening. Our excellent facilities, combined with beautiful nature and views of the Atlantic Ocean, makes a place that’s easy to love and hard to leave.

Choose between our dorms or double/twin rooms, all with modern facilities, comfortable beds and plenty of light.

Dorm
All our dorms are spacious, with comfy bunk beds and ensuite bathrooms. Staying in a dorm is the best way to make new friends, and our dorms accommodating 4-6 people, perfect for solo travelers.

Double/Twin Rooms
The double rooms are spacious, with modern design and an ensuite bathroom. The double rooms are perfect for couples or two friends travelling together.

How to get to the camp
If you would like to arrive at the camp by your own means or have flight time or day that do not match our transfer schedules, there are several options to get to the camp:

BY TAXI
From Lisbon airport, it costs approximately 200 euros to our camp in Alentejo and it takes about 2 hours. Please mind that there is no Uber in the area where the camp is, so you will not be able to use it during the stay or on the way from the camp to the airport. Nevertheless, when traveling from the airport to the camp, you can sometimes book an Uber and it will cost around 130-150 euros.

BY CAR
The camp is quite remote and it can be a nice idea to rent a car to get to the camp and to be able to explore the area during your stay. There are numerous rental car services in Portugal, and most of them offer car pick-up at the airport.

BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT
If you would like to use the cheapest way to get to the camp, you can reach us by bus. To get to the camp from Lisbon airport, you will need to take the metro from the airport to the bus station Sete Rios (metro stop Jardim Zoologico). From the station, you need to take a bus to Porto Covo. To get to the camp from Porto Covo you can use a taxi (around 10 min) or you can let us know and if we have a car available, we will be happy to give you a lift (subject to availability).

Getting to the Beach
Mini-bus/van to and from beach is included.

A breakfast buffet is included and served each morning, and we arrange dinner together every night (paid locally). Dinner is anything from a large BBQ at the camp to eating with the staff at a restaurant in town. Everyone’s welcome to join, so you’ll have dinner companions all days even if you’re travelling alone. Please inform us in advance if you have any special dietary requirements, and we'll do our best to cater for you. Daily breakfast, 4 lunches and 5 dinners are included each week.
