Free yoga class every Friday at your hostel.
Your shifts will generally last between 5 and 8 hours per day and will take place either in the morning or in the afternoon, which will leave you with plenty of free time to go explore Lisbon, take a stroll around your surroundings, catch the most important sites, interact with the locals or simply relax! And of course, you will have your weekends off as well!
Impact Beach House is a hostel dedicated to Climate Action, with a special focus on Ocean Conservation and Circularity. The house is beautiful and was specially designed to be the house of volunteers. It is located in Estoril and it's just 5 minutes walking distance from the beach. It is super close to Estoril and S. João do Estoril train stations, and it is approx. 45 mins train ride from the city center of Lisbon. The house is also closer to most projects and some are even within walking distance. It has 10 rooms with bunk beds with curtains and private storage for more privacy, and the shared rooms are divided into female and male rooms. There is an amazing outdoor terrace and a fully equipped kitchen. Wi-Fi is available everywhere.
Pick-up at the airport is included.
Please note:
Transport between accommodation and volunteer project location is not included.
All meals are provided in the common area and prepared with fresh local ingredients. Breakfast is served as a buffet and for lunch and dinner, there are always 2 options available, one vegetarian and another option (gluten-free and meals for lactose-intolerant are also available upon request.) If you prefer, in the morning you can grab a “packed lunch” to have in the city or at your placement, as long as you request it the day before.
When joining the program in the Winter, the volunteer should be prepared to have lower temperatures of between 40-60°F (5-15°C), and come equipped with warm clothing. If the volunteer is planning on coming during the summer, when temperatures range between 77-100ºF (25-38ºC), comfortable and light clothes are recommended.
