Reach the Mount "Campanario" at the 17 km of the Bustillo Avenue from where you can enjoy spectacular views of "The Andes" Mountain Chain. Day 3: Puerto Varas, Chile

Drive along the southern shore of Lake Llanquihue and Ensenada town before visiting the Osorno Volcano for breathtaking views of the Petrohue River Valley and beautiful Chilean landscapes!

To get to the Osorno Volcano we will travel for 50 minutes by van along the southern shore of Llanquihue Lake, enjoying lovely fields and lakeside scenery. Once we reach the base of the volcano we will see the village of Ensenada, where we will ascend by van to enter Vicente Perez Rosales National Park. As we ascend we will have the chance to stop for photographs at a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the Petrohue River valley where we can see an extinct crater of the volcano.  We will continue to another stopping point along the way to look out over the serene Llanquihue Lake.
Upon arrival to Osorno, you will be dropped off at the ski center and cafeteria. Here you have the option of relaxing at the ski center on your own to buy souvenirs and have a snack or head further up the mountain on the chair lift (at an additional cost) on your own for spectacular views of the surrounding landscape in a peaceful setting before returning to Puerto Varas for the night.

Day 6: Puerto Montt, Chile

Check-in, embark and begin sailing, starting in the Reloncavi Sound and Gulf of Ancud. In the evening you will enter the Apiao Channel and then the Gulf of Corcovado.

Check in & Embarkation (D)
Check-in will be done between 9:00 am and 13:00 pm in our local offices, where our port staff will receive your luggage. The passengers shall embark at 17:00 pm. Once onboard, crew members will give a welcome talk and some information for a safe and fun journey, to later depart at 20:00 pm and begin sailing through the Patagonian Fjords, with final destination at Puerto Natales. The trip starts in the Reloncavi Sound, Gulf of Ancud, and in the evening we enter the Apiao Channel and then the Gulf of Corcovado.

Day 7: Golfo de Penas, Chile

At dawn you will sail through the southernmost part of the Gulf of Corcovado, where the Captain shall decide the most appropriate route to continue the journey into the open ocean (Boca del Guafo , Ninualac Channel or Pulluche Channel).

Moraleda Channel , Ocean Area & Golfo de Penas (B/L/D)
At dawn we sail through the southernmost part of the Gulf of Corcovado, where the Captain, according to the weather and tidal current information for the channels and the positions of celestial bodies such as the Moon and Sun, shall decide the most appropriate route to continue the journey, having among others, the following choices for going out into the open ocean:
1. Boca del Guafo / 2. Ninualac Channel / 3. Pulluche Channel
There is also the possibility of accessing other channels, depending on the visibility conditions and traffic of other ships.
If he chooses to go into the open sea through the Boca del Guafo, we will immediately sail between the Archipelago de los Chonos and Isla Guafo, to quickly enter the Ocean Area.  If the choice is to go through the Ninualac Channel, sailing all morning through the Moraleda Channel, we will approach Tuap Island, where we will turn towards the West and begin to navigate through the Ninualac Channel, entering the open sea in the afternoon.
On the other hand, if he chooses to sail through the Pulluche Channel, we will pass through the Moraleda channel, a transit area for remarkable sailors and canoeists from the Los Chonos and Chiloe Archipielagos,  to later sail the Errazuriz Channel and then the  Chacabuco Channel, to later enter the Pulluche Channel - the most lush in vegetation (Lenga or Southern Beech and Patagonian Cypress forests), and with luck, we will see marine bird, sea lions, and native dolphins called "Toninas".
In the evening we will start sailing though the open sea in the area immediately north of the Golfo de Penas, to enter it at night.  The open ocean crossing lasts about 12 hours with good weather and it is possible to see humpback, Minke, and blue whales (depending on the time of year and the weather).

Day 8: Puerto Eden, Chile

Wake up sailing between fjords and crossing the Messier channel. You will cross the English Narrows (Angostura Inglesa) to reach the village of Puerto Eden. After a short stay in this port, you will start sailing through the Patagonian channels.

Bajo Cotopaxi  & Puerto Eden (B/L/D)
We wake up sailing between fjords and crossing the Messier channel, which is 1,270 meters deep. This characteristic makes it one of the deepest in the area; here we will also be able to see the cargo ship Capitan Leonidas, which has been shipwrecked since the 1970's on a sunken islet called "Bajo Cotopaxi". Nowadays, it is used as a lighthouse and as a point of reference for sailors. Shortly after that, we will cross the English Narrows (Angostura Inglesa) to reach the village of Puerto Eden (see note), where the last indigenous Alacalufes reside. Puerto Eden is located on Wellington Island, which forms part of the Bernardo O'Higgins National Park, the largest in Chile.
After a short stay in this port, we start sailing through the Patagonian channels, called Paso del Indio, Paso del Abismo, the Wide, Concepcion, Inocentes Channels, Guia Narrows, Sarmiento Channel, Farquar Pass, Collingwood Narrows, Union Channel,  Sobenes Pass (the southernmost of the route), Escobar Doxrud Pass, and Morla Vicuna Channel.
Note: Disembarking in Puerto Eden and the trip through the channels is done only if the weather, ocean conditions, and itinerary permit, always at the Captain's discretion.

Day 9: Puerto Natales, Chile

In the early morning you will sail through the Santa Maria Channel, to then reach the narrowest pass of the route, Angostura White. Later you will navigate across the Union Sound to enter the access channel to the city of Puerto Natales.

Angostura White & Puerto Natales (B)
In the early morning we will sail through the Santa Maria Channel, to then reach the narrowest pass of the route, Angostura White, called "White Narrow", only 80 meters wide. Later we will navigate across the Union Sound to then enter the access channel to the city of Puerto Natales, where our great adventure comes to an end.

Day 13: El Calafate, Argentina

Get away from the crowds and visit the Perito Moreno glacier on this alternative visit. Walk along the shore of the Lago Argentino to see blue icebergs as they float by and up-close views of the glacier. Take a 1-hour hike in front of the glacier to get spectacular views of the captivating walls of this massive sheet of ice from natural and wild spots, before returning to the touristy areas and seeing it from another angle.

We will depart El Calafate and begin our journey to the glacier on an alternative route, making stops along the way to take photos of the incredible scenery and to see the local flora and fauna. We will also be passing next to one of the most emblematic 'estancia' and some of the biggest estancias of Patagonia. We will make a stop at the hotel of Don Echeverrias, an important 'gaucho' of the region. This hotel has an authentic Patagonian feel. There, you can enjoy some 'mates' or coffee (not included). As we continue our journey towards Los Glaciares National Park, we will begin to notice a change in the scenery, awing at the impressive views around us.
Prepare to be amazed when you see the Perito Moreno glacier growing bigger as we drive closer to the park entrance. This is a unique opportunity to get spectacular views of the glacier from natural and wild spots, away from the crowds. You will have the chance to enjoy the glacier almost by yourself, observing the crisp, cool air and listening to big chunks of ice breaking off and crashing into the water of Lago Argentino. Your guide will be there to answer any questions you may have about the glacier, its formation, its location, its evolution...
Then you can enjoy some free time to walk along the conventional man-made bridges and stairways to admire from a different angle the immensity of this giant sheet of ice towering over you. Take in the wonderful scenery and photograph yourself in front of this majestic glacier. If you would like, you can go buy something at the snack bar before we begin our return trip to El Calafate using the conventional paved road. All the way back, share stories about your experience with your new friends. We will be back in El Calafate around 17:30 pm.

Enjoy magnificent panoramic views of the Beagle Canal which is surrounded by beautiful forests, lakes, rivers and mountains. See by yourself the imposing variety and quantity of animal species and plants throughout the park, and admire the beautiful Lapataia Bay.

The entrance to Tierra del Fuego National Park is at about 12 kms from Ushuaia. It is the only Argentine National Park that combines sea, mountains and forests. It occupies a surface of 63.000 hectares where we can find firebushes, beech trees, nires, boxleafed barberries, and flowers such as orchids, violets and other species. You will have the opportunity to admire Lapataia Bay and the coast of the Beagle Channel, with an incredible flora and fauna including red foxes, woodpeckers, steamer ducks, condors, eagles, beaver dams and peat bogs. All of which cohabit in a spectacular setting. You will be picked up around 8:00 am in Ushuaia. We will drive out of the city passing by Susana Mount and witnessing the work of the prisoners of the old prison, where the Southern Fuegian Railway is now located. You will be able to go on an optional tour there. We will continue through the valley towards Ensenada Bay, where we will be able to contemplate the Redonda and Estorbo Islands. On the other side of the Beagle Channel, you can admire the snow-white Mountains of the Sampaio Chain (Chile). We will go back to the National Road #3 passing by the Fuegian forest until Roca Lake, where we will take a walk by the lake and the Lapataia river. From this point we can see the Condor Hill, a natural border with Chile. Then we will go towards the other end of the park, where the National Road N. 3 comes to an end, at Lapataia Bay. Along the way, we will have a nice view of Laguna Verde and Laguna Negra. We will have the opportunity to see peat bogs and beaver dams before arriving to Lapataia Bay. Breathe in the fresh clean air before returning to Ushuaia around 14:00 pm, where our trip will come to an end.
