Hotel Colonial
Colonial Hotel is located downtown San Jose, very close to many important governmental buildings, museums and parks as well as nice restaurants, stores and supermarkets. It is an elegant restored neocolonial mansion that once belonged to the owners of a well-know furniture store in San Jose. The house has many elegant details such as hand carved mahogany beams and tropical redwood floors. All rooms have ceiling fans, telephone and cable TV; some of them also have air conditioning. Some additional services available are laundry service, money exchange, luggage storage and free wireless internet access.
Hotel Guayabo Lodge
Guayabo Lodge is located in Santa Cruz de Turrialba; two hours away from Juan Santamaria International Airport and 45 minutes from the bustling town of Turrialba. It is a beautiful light and airy lodge at 1500 meters above sea level, set in a rich garden, surrounded by the pastures of a dairy farm, in the slopes of Turrialba volcano and only 11 km away of Guayabo National Monument. This familiar and cozy mountain eco-lodge is a peaceful place, ideal for those seeking to spend some restful days. It offers 24 Standard guestrooms and four Mountain Suites. The rooms are comfortable and well lighted, cheerfully decorated with local folk art; most of them have balconies with panoramic views to the Turrialba Volcano or the Turrialba Valley. Every room also features a private bathroom with hot water generated by solar panels, hair dryer, ecological soap and shampoo. In addition, Mountain Suites have a TV and kitchenette with coffeemaker, microwave and fridge.
Although there is no formal restaurant, Guayabo Lodge is well known for its delicious food! The home cooked menu of the day is prepared from locally produced high quality ingredients. Free coffee and tea is served in the lobby and souvenir area, between 15:00 and 17:00. Other services include access to free internet with the lodge's desktop and wireless access using one's own laptop, souvenir boutique, TV room, reading area, cooking classes and a meeting room for special events. A free Garden Tour through the beautiful gardens and the ecological operation station is offered to all guests. Please take note that there is no elevator in this three-story hotel.
La Isla Inn
La Isla Inn is located just 100 meters from the beautiful Cocles Beach, surrounded by lush vegetation and wildlife, thus providing an atmosphere of exclusivity, privacy and relaxation for all guests. Inspired by this environment, the hotel has 14 spacious rooms, with various amenities such as air conditioning, cable TV, refrigerator, coffee maker, safe and private bathroom with shower and toilet. The Hotel also has an outdoor pool, WiFi, common terrace, tourist information desk, laundry service and free parking.

Things to consider for a trip to Costa Rica
▪ Copies of passport.
▪ Sunscreen and insect repellent.
▪ Shirts: cotton or light synthetic, long- and short-sleeved.
▪ Dry fit clothing: cotton or light synthetic pants and shorts. Bring at least 2 sets of clothes that dry quickly (jeans not recommended and too slow to dry).
▪ Footwear: waterproof, light-weight hiking boots, river sandals (Teva-type sandals), tennis shoes/running shoes. If you do not bring hiking boots, make sure you bring TWO pairs of tennis shoes.
